CandleDeep

Beneath every grave lies the Hollow. You wake at its gate with one candle of time. Survive the endless horde until the candle burns out, carry your gold back up, and descend again stronger.

CandleDeep is a pixel-art survivor roguelite. Move with the joystick (or WASD / arrow keys); your weapons fire on their own. Every level-up offers a choice, and every run builds into something new.

Fight the horde

• Two stages: the Dungeon Depths and the Sunken Tomb, each with its own enemies and bosses
• 20 enemies, from rats and slimes to the Scarab Queen and the Pharaoh
• Champion enemies with traits: swift, armored, splitting and volatile
• Three difficulty tiers per stage: Normal, Hard and Nightmare

Build and evolve

• 8 weapons that each evolve into a more powerful form
• 8 passive items; pair them with weapons to unlock evolutions
• Reroll or banish level-up choices to shape your build
• Discover hidden weapon combos

Grow between runs

• 7 heroes with their own starting weapons
• 13 permanent power-ups bought with the gold you bring back
• 23 achievements that unlock new weapons, heroes and a new stage
• A Codex that fills in the story and the bestiary as you play

Free to play, for real

• No ads and no in-app purchases. Revives and the daily chest are free, and every run pays double gold.

• Browser: play right here, on desktop or phone (best in fullscreen, portrait).
• Android: download the APK and allow installs from your browser when asked.
• Windows / macOS / Linux: unzip and run. The builds are not code-signed, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning (More info > Run anyway), and on macOS right-click the app and choose Open the first time.

Your progress is saved on your device (in the browser version, in this browser).
